I’m thrilled to share this piece from the inaugural Montford Plein Air Painting Festival—my first-ever participation in such a festival as well! While scouting the Montford area for what and where to paint, I came upon this stunning blue house on Cumberland Avenue. From the street, the house had such a monumental, larger-than-life presence. Opting for a larger canvas made for quite the undertaking in a full weekend, but it served well to showcase the house in its grand scale and include the lovely, colorful contrast of the azaleas in their full bloom.
